Horotec: A Company Thriving Since 1946

In La Chaux-de-Fonds, the "bee city," the city of Le Corbusier, the land of Louis Chevrolet and Léopold-Robert, various industries coexist, but one shines brighter than the others: the watchmaking and highprecision industry.

Alongside it, an army of discreet but highly indispensable specialists works in the shadows, playing an essential role in the creation of exceptional timepieces. Dial makers, enamelers, engravers, precision mechanics, or experts in watchmaking tools and supplies, as is the case for Horotec, all contribute to elevating these mechanical masterpieces, which travel far beyond the borders of our dear Helvetia.

This spirit of precision and craftsmanship, hovering at 1,000 meters altitude, has nurtured and inspired Horotec for more than 75 years, making the company a key and recognized partner in a niche of specialists that has always served the watchmaking industry.

A Passion that Knows No Borders

With more than 14,000 references for tools and supplies, and no fewer than 85,000 other watch components, Horotec's products are exported worldwide. Manufacturers, repair centers, independent watchmakers, enthusiasts, schools, and even museums are all diverse customers with equally fascinating stories, where the only common denominator is The Watch.

A Precision Inspired by Le Corbusier

"Architecture is an artistic fact, a phenomenon that arouses emotion, beyond construction problems. Construction is meant to make things stand, architecture to move."
Le Corbusier

Much like this great name in architecture, the art of watchmaking follows the same demands. Tools are to the watch what forms are to architecture. This perfect alchemy between experience, expertise, patience, ingenuity, and talent transforms each timepiece into a unique creation.

We strive to apply this philosophy of excellence at every stage of the manufacturing of our products, as well as in our relationships with our clients and partners.

An Industrial Legacy

It is in Porrentruy, that our production unit is located. This location was not chosen by chance. Indeed, with the densification of watchmaking activities at the end of the 17th century, this region saw its renown grow and be exported. The growing recognition of the expertise of these peasant-watchmakers ensured the establishment of a sustainable and favorable industry, becoming a true genetic heritage.
Alongside our own production unit, we have forged long-standing, trusted partnerships with Swiss and European partners who can fully meet our industrial needs.

"From the beginning, we have seen ourselves as missionaries with a vocation: to be solution providers
in precision, with methodology and humility, for watchmakers and watch enthusiasts around the world."
Eric Zuccatti, CEO
